Opera
The Opera Studio performs a wide repertoire ranging from opera scenes to full productions of complete operas with orchestra. The casts are made up entirely of students who audition for the Opera Studio at the beginning of each year.

Musical Theatre
An auditioned ensemble of singers, dancers and actors that rehearses and performs a fully realized musical theatre production each fall semester. The Pit Orchestra brings the story to life.

Choral Works
Each year, the musicians of SU perform works for orchestra and chorus in a variety of settings. Most notably, the combined groups frequently join together for SU’s Emmy Award-winning Christmas Candlelight Service in Weber Chapel Auditorium, televised on WVIA. Inaugurated in 1966, it’s one of our favorite traditions.
