Music for All
SU Strings is a college-community ensemble supported by the Susquehanna University Prep Program. Members include adult community members, children, and SU students of all majors.
We rehearse on Saturdays (four or five times per concert) from 4:00-5:30
Cost:
$45 per session or $80 for the year.
Free for SU students.
Students Lead
SU Strings cultivates future music educators by allowing student conductors to teach graded repertoire to an ensemble of diverse ability levels. Each year students apply for the position of Assistant Conductor. This paid staff position is an important opportunity to develop concrete steps towards a successful career as an orchestra director or strings teacher.
